Back To Work...Happy New Year.

Hi Everyone,

I hope that you are all safe and well and have enjoyed the festive break. That's me back to work after a VERY lazy time with Susan over on Eilean Ban, just below the Skye Bridge. The first thing that I had to do in 2013 was to send my new camera away to get serviced and then go and buy a new (well nearly new) car as my dear old 4X4 has come to the end of her useful life. I have bought a much later version of the old car and she has a HUGE boot and even more storage and cubby holes to put photo gear in :-)

The weather has been okay and I was quite excited yesterday as I have spotted a "new" Otter at North Kessock but no sign of any dolphins yet. I did however have a very friendly little Redshank, one of the smallest wading birds do a nice little dance right in front of me as he or she was looking for titbits in the seaweed and then stood and posed for photos. Lovely.

I'll be out and about from now on trying to get you news of your adopted dolphins but remember to keep a look out on this blog and sign up for our Facebook and Twitter updates too.

Best Wishes,

Charlie.

Have you ever seen a minke whale? Best wishes Catrin.😋🐳

    Hi Catrin,

Great to hear from you. We see Minke whales every so often in the Moray Firth, especially a bit further out to sea. September is a good month for these lovely whales, maybe take a boat trip and see if you can find some.

    Best Wishes,

    Charlie.
